Welcome to the page dedicated to:

Our PTA is known as the Friends of St Germans.
We are a group of Parents, Governors, Staff and members of the Community, who work hard to raise funds and support the School whenever we can! Our key objective is to:

  • advance the education of the pupils of the School by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by the Local Education Authority).

We welcome new members, please come to our meetings to find out how you can be involved. Watch this space for future events ...

Friends meeting - Friday 19th May - 3.00pm in the Rhino classroom - please come along and join the team of 'friends'.


The following organisations have very kindly donated gifts for our raffle at the Summer Fair:

  • Summer Fair - 23rd June - weather permitting, this is an exciting annual event that will feature fun activities for the children to enjoy including pony rides, coconut shy, welly wanging, the grand raffle, 'splat the teacher', human fruit machine, lucky dip and tombola, to name a few.
  • Annual school Quiz - Due to lack of interest, this has been postponed. We hope to reschedule for the end of September when we promise a fun packed evening for adults where teams will go head to head and battle it out for the title of 'Genius of St Germans' whilst enjoying a meal. Tickets cost £7.50 and will include a meal. Dinner is served at 7pm with the quiz starting at 7.30pm. Maximum of 6 players per team.
  • School disco - this has now been postponed until the autumn term



Welcome to our 100 CLUB


This is a great way for you to support us whilst having a bit of a flutter! Here’s how it works…


You complete and sign the membership form (attached) and return with cash or cheque (made payable to Friends of St  Germans School) for the sum of only £10 for the year.


This buys you one membership number, which enters you into the monthly draw (although you can buy multiple numbers if you wish to). This is on a first come first served basis, so please make sure you return your forms with your payment by the end of the academic year to the nominated committee member or to the school office, to avoid disappointment.


The draw will take place on the last school day/assembly of each month. If you win, a cheque will be handed or posted to your home address and the name of the winner published in the school’s newsletter.


The prize money will be £500 each year which will be split into 4 prizes of £10 per month (term time) and 4 super-sized prizes of £65  in December and July (just before those special family holidays.) The remaining money goes to the Friends of St Germans School to enrich the children’s  experiences.


The 100 club for 2016-2017 is currently recruiting members. Please see Chloe Hale for details of how to join.
