Cross curricular topics allow the children to experience a wide variety of art and design work using a range of media. We pride ourselves on an attractive and stimulating environment and care is taken to display children’s work in creative ways.
Our DT curriculum involves children working in 3 key areas each year: textiles, food and resistant materials. Children develop skills in Design and Technology through cross curricular projects and will need to draw on skills and knowledge from other areas of the curriculum – in particular maths, science and art. We encourage children to work collaboratively. The children are encouraged to design, make and evaluate models, with a knowledge and understanding of the properties of the materials used and the practical methods and skills required.
