Roadford Lake

Key Stage 2 had a wonderful, action-packed day at Roadford Lake. We learnt how to kayak, canoe and work together as a team to build a raft that floated.

The staff at Roadford Lake were really impressed with our team building skills and our 'have a go' attitude.

Kingfisher Class had a wonderful field trip to Port Eliot Estate. We classified the organisms found in our local habitat (linked to our work on Charles Darwin) and revised our work on the features of rivers.

Avocets class composed 4 beat rhythms on their djembes this afternoon. It was lovely to drum in the sunshine!

Year 4 Bikeability

This week the children in Swan Class have been learning about Grace Darling. We used drama to act out the story and have written fantastic character descriptions. Swans also enjoyed sharing non-fiction books with each other and reading our class novel George's Marvellous Medicine. Today we had a great time on the field, playing parachute games.

Year 3 have enjoyed making items to sell in their woodland shops at forest school.
