Children are encouraged through topic work to ask geographical questions about people, places and environments in relation to their locality as well as the wider world and make links between them. They carry out geographical enquiries both inside and outside the classroom, developing skills including map reading, an understanding of natural processes and patterns and environmental change and develop an awareness of how people can and do affect the world both now and for their future. We use the  local environment is used as much as possible to enrich the children’s experience
