Great Trethew - Friday 15th October

 

DIRECTIONS FOR GREAT TRETHEW ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 15TH ARE:

Parking and Course is in the grounds of the Point to Point event.

DIRECTIONS FROM SALTASH: - A38 towards Liskeard, turn left on hill after Castle Motors, opposite Hayloft Restaurant/Menheniot turning, B3251 to Looe. Follow arrows half mile.

DIRECTIONS FROM LISKEARD: - A38 towards Saltash, take either first turn right to Looe, B3252, through Horningtops, left at By Lane End crossroads and follow arrows half mile or take second right turn to Looe, B3251, opposite Hayloft/Menheniot turning and follow arrows half mile.

DIRECTIONS FROM LOOE: - B3252 towards Liskeard, turn right at By Lane End crossroads and follow arrows half mile

RUN START TIMES:
Yr 3/4 Girls – 4:00pm
Yr 3/4 Boys – 4:10pm
Yr 5/6 Girls – 4:20pm
Yr 5/6 Boys – 4:35pm


Each school can only enter a maximum of 7 children for each race with the first 4 children back to count for the team score.

 

Registration from 3:15pm. Could each school provide one marshal to help out on the course and to collect the marshal bib and results wallet, which MUST be returned to Registration vehicle after races, please DO NOT TAKE HOME!  The entry fee of £1 per runner will not be payable on the day but collected by your school. Please ensure children are supervised throughout and the premises are left “litter free.” It is up to the person in charge of each school to ensure that their children are supervised throughout the afternoon.

 

Running across country can be hazardous! A thorough risk assessment of the course has been undertaken but all participants must be aware that they compete at their own risk and neither organisers nor landowners will accept any responsibility for loss, damage or injury howsoever caused. Each child must be in good health and have done some suitable training.

 

This is a new course and is suitable for spiked shoes.

 

Please note:
Plastic bottles of water and squash can be purchased at cost price from the Event or you can bring your own, but please dispose of all plastic bottles in recycling bags provided.

 

If in the event of poor weather we will contact each school before 12.30pm.
